Behind its beautiful original 17th-century town-house façade, the Crown is a thoroughly 21st-century inn. Stylish and modern, the ensuite rooms have been individually wonderfully decorated by award-winning interior designers Bentheim of Chelsea. Each room has a plasma flat-screen TV with Sky satellite channels and a DVD player.

There is a picturesque river walk 500 metres from the hotel accommodation. The Suffolk countryside has many places of interest, including the Sutton Hoo Anglo Saxon burial site, Minsmere Bird Reserve, Snape Maltings and the Aldeburgh Festival. Woodbridge is close to the river Deben where the Woodbridge tide mill can be found, and boat trips are also available.
Travel information
From London take the A12 to Ipswich where you join the A14; follow signs on A14 to rejoin A12 towards Lowestoft. Take the first signpost for Woodbridge. In Woodbridge take B1079 towards station. Hotel is on your left 200 yards from the railway station.
