Travel information
Although the countryside surrounding the hotel accommodation is thankfully unspoilt, it is a surprisingly easy part of the country to find and travel around. The hotel accommodation is situated within a mile of crossroads where the B4385 Bishops Castle to Montgomery Road crosses the main A489 which runs from England to Mid Wales. The A489 joins the A49 North to South Wales trunk road at Craven Arms and it intersects with the A483 and A470 coast road at Newtown. The A5 and M54 provide a fast link between Shrewsbury which is approximately 30 minutes drive and the rest of the motorway network. There are also regular train services to nearby Newtown and Welshpool via Shrewsbury and there are regular through trains to Birmingham, Birmingham International Airport, Wolverhampton and Telford. In the other direction the train calls at the Welsh Coast resorts of Aberystwyth, Barnmouth, Porthmadog and many others.
