Strathspey Steam Railway (6 miles / 9.5 km) - this full scale steam railway offers a 20 mile (32 km) round trip between the stations at Aviemore, Boat of Garten and Broomhill (the distance quoted above is from Broomhill).
Aviemore Skiing and Snowboarding (14 miles / 22.5 km) - the village is renowned as being a top Scottish position for winter sports. A funicular railway can transport up to 1,200 people per hour to Cairngorm Mountain in the winter.
