Area information
The Southern has a wonderful, quiet position just a few minutes'' walk away from Yarmouth’s lovely sandy beach. The Pleasure Beach, the model village and the many other attractions of the seafront are just a short walk away, as is the new Outer Harbour, opening in 2009.
Well worth a visit, the award-winning Time and Tide museum is just around the corner and offers a fascinating insight into the history of Great Yarmouth.
Travel information
By Car:
From Norwich:
- Follow the A47 and continue onto the Acle New Road.
- On entering Great Yarmouth follow signs for seafront.
- Turn right at seafront and continue with the sea on your left, past Britania Pier, Marina Leisure Centre and Wellington Pier.
- When you get to The Model Village, turn right, where the road is marked All Major Routes (Kings Road).
- Kings Road becomes Queens Road, there is one hotel accommodation on Kings Road and The Southern is the one on Queens Road.
