Area information
Yarm is a small town in the North-East of England, close to Stockton, Middlesbrough and Darlington. The town has more than 12 great eateries and restaurants lining its quaint and yet busy High Street. The High Street runs along the centre of the loop formed by the River Tees and at the centre of the street is the little Dutch-style town hall, which was built in 1710 by Viscount Fauconberg, who was Lord of the Mayor of Yarm.

Yarm is at once traditional and also modern; its impressive 43-arch railway viaduct shadows one of the widest cobbled streets in England, while there is also a varied choice of chic shops, exclusive restaurants and pubs with lovely beer gardens. This is just one of the many reasons why BBC Breakfast viewers voted Yarm as the UK''s best high street.
