With parts dating back to the 13th century, this 16th-century inn is now a small country pub offering free Wi-Fi, 2 bars, a separate restaurant and comfortable accommodation.
In the centre of the small, charming village of Gayton, the Crown Inn offers 4 comfortable and homely rooms, furnished in a traditional cottage style. Every room has tea/coffee making facilities and a Freeview TV.
Rich in original character and traditional charm, parts of the building are said to date back to between 1216 and 1262, when the building was constructed to house the stonemason and the workers who built the church opposite. There are low original wooden beams in a few places.
The Crown Inn is dog friendly and well-behaved dogs are welcome in the rooms and throughout the pub, apart from in the restaurant.

Gayton is a small village situated 6 miles (10 km) from King''s Lynn and within easy reach of the beautiful Norfolk coastline, which is just 10 miles (16 km) away at its nearest point. Norwich, Cambridge and Peterborough are all within an hour’s drive and offer excellent shopping, sightseeing and entertainment.
There is a regular bus service through the village, which can connect to intercity buses and also the main line railway station at King''s Lynn. London is just over 2 hours away by rail.
For those who enjoy strolling, there are plenty of footpaths in the surrounding area and close by are both Peddars Way and the North Norfolk Coastal Path. Sandringham Estate is only 6 miles (10 km) away, which must surely have some of the best strolling in the country and dogs are welcome there too.
